It is with great pleasure that I announce my candidacy for Resident Superior Court Judge in Durham County for Judicial District 14B. I am excited to seek an opportunity to serve the people of Durham County and North Carolina.

During the last 27 years of my legal career, I have handled a wide range of cases, building experience in those matters that come before a Superior Court Judge. While the bulk of my work has been helping injured persons, I have represented both plaintiffs and defendants in all types of civil and criminal matters. I have appeared before the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Supreme Court. As a trial attorney, I have been in courtrooms in the far corners of North Carolina. I became a certified mediator in 2001 and have also served as an arbitrator.

Spending most of my adult life in Durham has allowed me to be actively involved in our community. I was a youth coach for many years while my sons were growing up, and have served on legal and public committees, and the boards of several community non-profits, including my current position on the board of the Council for Senior Citizens.
